WNA Annual Meeting Set for March 8th at Munjed’s – Join Us!

February 3, 2026

Sam Gruber

The Westcott Neighborhood Association will host its 2026 Annual Meeting on Sunday March 8, from 2-4 p.m. at Munjed’s Middle Eastern & Greek Cafe at 503-505 Westcott Street.  The meeting will feature special guest speaker Deputy Mayor Corey Driscoll Dunham.  Complimentary Middle Eastern snacks will be served. Munjed’s bar will be open (pay as you go).

The Annual Meeting of members is required by WNA by-laws. It is where we elect or re-elect Board members to two-year terms and the previous year’s activities and achievements of the organization are reviewed and a new agenda set.  This year co-presidents Sam Gruber and Galyn Murphy-Stanley are stepping down, and they will briefly review the health of the organization after their 3-year leadership.  Sam will stay on the board another year. New officers will be elected by the Board at the April meeting.

The WNA Governance Committee, led by Ginny Felleman, has revised and greatly simplified the WNA by-laws. These changes will need to be approved by the membership. Copies of the old and new by-laws will be made available at this website soon, and by email to all current members.

Last year’s meeting was held at Raj Saffron House and Assemblywoman Pam Hunter was our guest.

Board membership is open to any WNA member – which means you’ve paid you dues (minimum $10 per year) for 2026.  Haven’t done so yet? You can join online (https://westcottsyr.com/org/wna/) or at any meeting or event by cash or check, or drop off your membership at WNA, c/o Petit Library, 105 Victoria Place.  If you only plan to vote at the annual meeting, then you can also join/rejoin then.
Membership donations are our primary source of income.  Additional donations are very welcome. Sponsors of $50 or more have their name listed on the webpage.
