Louis L. Waters, “Syracuse, born in Cortland, N.Y., Dec. 29, 1863, was educated in the Cortland Normal School, studied law at Cortland in 1884, and at the Columbia University Law School at Washington in 1885-87, was admitted to the bar in the District of Columbia in June, 1887, and in this State in April, 1888. Since then he has practiced in Syracuse, being now a member of the firm of Waters, McLennan & Waters. He is somewhat active in Republican politics, and in 1893 was county committeeman of the Fourteenth ward. He is also one of the Board of Examiners for Syracuse, of the New York State Civil Service Commission.” Source: Bruce, Dwight H. (Ed.), Onondaga’s Centennial.
