Abstract Realism/Fractured Art – Art Exhibit

Artist Hongo David Robertson lives and paints in Cazenovia, NY. He is a full time Data Analyst for Syracuse University where he is also an Adjunct Professor in the iSchool. Robertson custom makes his own canvas, using hardboard (Masonite) and select pine boards. His paintings are highly texturized, using thick media bases and acrylics. Texture and sometimes heavy texture is a major component of his paintings. Robertson says, “I want to instill a calmness, a celebration of the moment, a celebration of life. My hope is to create a place that causes you to pause, one that leaves you wanting to know more, and to ask questions.” The exhibit displays a series of abstractions created from real life subject matter.
