The 7th Annual SYRACROSS Cyclocross Race: NEW LOCATION at Thornden Park!

The cyclocross course is a 1.25 mile loop that traverses Thornden Park’s wooded areas, grass fields, old cobble paths, and natural stone features. Mountain bikes (without bar ends) are welcome, but there will be stairs, barriers, dismounts, and running.

***NEW Happy Waffle Food Truck! Registered bike racers will receive a free waffle ticket. Happy Waffle will have a special cash menu available for all to enjoy – including a special dog treat!

$10 day-of registration fee
On race day, registration opens at 8:30AM and closes 1/2 hours prior to start of each race.
Please bring cash or checks. We do not accept credit cards at the race.
USAC license required for all racers.
Single day USAC license ($10) can be purchased online (when pre-registering) or at the race for non-annual license holders; e.g., Cat 5 Men / Citizens Men and Cat 5 Women / Citizens Women.
All age categories are based on “racing age”, i.e. your age on 12/31/2018.
All racers must fill out a waiver (including Doggie Dash participants).
FREE parking is available in the Thornden pool lot and surrounding neighborhood streets. Please follow signage to avoid ticketing.
Post Race, stick around for the Doggie Dash spectacle and our AWARDS CEREMONY at 3PM!

Doggie Dash Benefitting Cuse Pit Crew

Racers and spectators will get a chance to race their dogs (on-leash and sans bikes) in a just for fun Doggie Dash Race on an abbreviated version of the cyclocross course! Bring friends and family to watch this six-legged spectacle topping off our race schedule this year!

Dog Categories:

Open Male/Female
Clydesdale (50lbs+)
Masters (10 years+)
Lap Dogs (Less than 15lbs)
***All dog participants must be dog friendly and up-to-date on shots!

Registration & Schedule:

The Doggie Dash is open to any and all participants, whether you race cyclocross or not! While the Doggie Dash is free, we encourage participants to make a small (or large) donation to local non-profit Cuse Pit Crew. 100% of your suggested $10 donation will go to benefit all that they do! Cuse Pit Crew is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization on a mission to “Refuel the Human-Animal Connection” in the Syracuse area through community outreach and educational programming, while advocating for pit bulls and other misunderstood breeds.

All dog racers must sign a waiver and register their dog/owner team between 10:30AM and 12:45PM at the Cuse Pit Crew tent, where they will receive a dog race bib number. Staging starts at 1:45PM. STAGGERED START OF ALL DOG CATEGORIES AT 2:00PM SHARP!

Course:
The dog course will be about 0.5 miles long and will include barriers and other dog-friendly features. For the safety of the dogs and spectators, no bikes in this race and all dogs must be on-leash.
