This modest Queen Anne style House is one of the four oldest (pre-1892) on the street. Note the asymmetry of the design, the variety of window types, and the mix of narrow clapboards on the lower part and the decorative “fishscale” shingles in the front gable; all characteristics of the Queen Anne style. The present owners offer an alternative to the traditional strictly green grass front lawn, first made popular in the late 19th century. Today, tomatoes and other vegetables grow next to the driveway .
