This Arts & Crafts bungalow was almost certainly architect designed and it recalls a rustic chalet or mountain house in its form. A similar house at 913 Euclid Avenue was designed by Ward Wellington Ward, seen at the end of this tour.
A notable exterior feature here is the ground floor rustic piers with brackets that support a projecting second floor that includes a second story balcony in front of a four-part window. The balcony is entirely decorative as access is difficult and the space is narrow. The classical style balusters are at odds with the simple piers below. On the right hand side of the house is a projecting dormer with wide and deep projecting eaves, reminiscent of Prairie style design which was often mixed with Arts & Crafts. The interior of the house preserves many of its original features including woodwork, metal hardware and some light fixtures.
