Mindful Eating
Monday, July 25, at 6 p.m.
When applied to eating, mindfulness practice is a powerful tool which allows one to achieve a more balanced and harmonious relationship with food. Participants who practice mindful eating learn to read their own internal hunger and fullness signals, as well as determine what specific foods their body needs. This non-diet approach to eating allows one to achieve greater freedom, joy, and well-being around food. Participants in these programs have reported benefits including increased health, energy, and self confidence.
Nicole Christina is a trained psychotherapist and has been a clinical social worker for over 20 years. She also leads programs on Mindful Eating and co-teaches an ongoing Mindful Eating series at Syracuse University.
