We’re teaming up with Recess Coffee & Roastery for a pair of spring clean-up events!
Spring is almost here, and that means the Syracuse snow will melt away for a muddy spring. It also means that litter tossed aside into the snow banks for months will emerge from its slumber. That’s no good. Happy, Probably along with sponsor, Recess Coffee, are teaming up for a duo of events to clean up the streets in the Westcott neighborhood and downtown
On Saturday, March 30th, the Westcott location of Recess Coffee will serve as the meeting point for a 1-hour clean-up. Trash bags will be provided, we recommend wearing gloves. After walking around the neighborhood for an hour, cleaning up trash we’ll meet back at Recess to dispose of it all properly before getting some free coffees for helping clean up! Stick around to get some tips from local waste-aficionado Laura Markley, Waste-Free PhD, and let’s make 2019 a cleaner year
We’ll be doing it all again on Saturday, April 13th at the downtown Recess Coffee location, where we will again clean up for an hour and then head back for some free coffees. If you want to stick around, Laura will be talking recycling and waste tips, so we can help reduce the displaced trash
