Ethnomycology: A Survey of Medicinal Fungi Used by Humans

ESF Professor Tom Horton will present a survey of traditional uses of fungi by human cultures from Neolithic and Chinese medicine to current psychotherapy. Along the way he will highlight those fungi that are relatively easy to find in our woods. He will touch on the current successes in psychotherapy using magic mushrooms to treat patients struggling with addiction, PTSD, and depression.
