Historic Oakwood Cemetery Walking Tour

Step into the past with Mary Leavenworth — daughter of Syracuse’s founder, Joshua Forman — as she (portrayed by HOCPA’s own Sue Greenhagen) unearths the curious tales of Oakwood Cemetery’s Section 13. Who found fortune… and who wasn’t so lucky? Join us to find out!
Please use the Oakwood Main Entrance on Comstock across from the Islamic Society of CNY. Look for the tour signs and follow the arrows to the parking and tour meeting place.
Please allow two hours for the tour. Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. We will be walking on paved roads, uneven grassy and gravel areas. All tours are free, but donations are appreciated and go to help maintain Oakwood Cemetery. We tour, rain or shine, but not during downpours or thunder and lightning. Oakwood souvenirs will be available for purchase at the tours.
