Join us Saturday December 3rd, to experience once of Syracuse’s most unique and prolific artists, LEO CRANDALL, in one of his favorite local spots, the intimate setting of Alto Cinco! Grab a beer, some late night grub, and settle in to enjoy a late night exhibition of Leo’s fantastic artistry
Leo Crandall is a singer songwriter, musician and composer. Primarily performing on the requinto and cello, Crandall performs and records both as a solo artist and as the lead singer/songwriter for the Gonstermachers. He is currently in postproduction on the fourth CD of his solo compositions and writing the material for the fifth.
Leo recently toured Africa sponsored by the State Department (US Embassy in Senegal), has been nominated for Australia’s Bluestar Award, charted #14 nationally in Roots and Blues airplay and has been the recipient of a Meet the Composer Grant and several commissions. His music receives airplay in the US, Europe and Australia.
Leo is the founding member of the Gonstermachers and the main songwriter in the group. He often plays his electric music songs in a solo acoustic arrangement and vice versa, to be expected at this show!
Locally, Leo has performed and/or exhibited at the Redhouse, Jazz Central, Everson Museum of Art, Alfred University, Pyramid Art Gallery, Spark Gallery, Syracuse University, Lemoyne College, Cazenovia College and many other venues.
