Sexual Assault, Abuse, and Allyship: How to Survive and Help Survivors, with presenters from Vera House

Join us to learn how to identify and understand the complexities of controlling relationships, coercion, intimidation, abuse, and sexual violence of all forms. This presentation will include discussion on acquaintance rape; relationship abuse; elder abuse, neglect and exploitation; and sexual violence faced by gender and sexual minorities (LGBTQ+).

Statistically, someone you know is or will be the survivor of sexual or relationship violence. Those who attend will be presented with information on Vera House resources and will learn basic strategies for being an empowered bystander when witnessing violent behaviors, and how you may be able to assist those you know by connecting them to appropriate resources.
