Reports of broken car and business windows and other issues in and around the Westcott business district seem to have risen lately, at least based on social media accounts.

And some have wondered aloud what more could be done. Well, here is something that could be much more widely and consistently attended.

East Siders who wish for a chance to informally get a word in edgewise with the Syracuse Police Department should consider logging in for:

• Westcott Neighborhood Watch, which next gathers alongside nearby groups for a virtual-only meeting on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at 6:30 pm, lasting for about one hour.
