SUMMARY:Leftover Salmon / Keller Williams' Grateful Grass - Jerry Birthday Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Westcott Presents: Leftover Salmon & Keller Williams’ Grateful Grass\nFriday August 1st\, 2025 | The Westcott Theater | Syracuse\, NY\nDoors: 6:30PM | Show: 7:30PM\nLeftover Salmon & Keller Williams’ Grateful Grass head to LaFayette\, NY on August 1st to celebrate Jerry Garcia’s birthday—set against the breathtaking backdrop of Central New York’s premier outdoor concert destination\, Wonderland Forest.\nBoth bands will be performing the music of the Grateful Dead!\nAbout Leftover Salmon:Few bands stick around for thirty years. Even fewer bands leave a legacy during that time that marks them as a truly special\, once-in-lifetime type band. And no band has done all that and had as much fun as Leftover Salmon.\nSince their earliest days as a forward thinking\, progressive bluegrass band who had the guts to add drums to the mix and who was unafraid to stir in any number of highly combustible styles into their ever evolving sound\, to their role as a pioneer of the modern jamband scene\, to their current status as elder-statesmen of the scene who cast a huge influential shadow over every festival they play\, Leftover Salmon has been a crucial link in keeping alive the traditional music of the past while at the same time pushing that sound forward with their own weirdly\, unique style.\nThe band now features a lineup that has been together longer than any other in Salmon history and is one of the strongest the legendary band has ever assembled. Built around the core of founding members Drew Emmitt and Vince Herman\, the band is now powered by banjo-wiz Andy Thorn and driven by the steady rhythm section of bassist Greg Garrison\, drummer Alwyn Robinson\, and dobro player & keyboardist Jay Starling.\nThe current lineup is continuing the long\, storied history of Salmon which found them first emerging from the progressive bluegrass world and coming of age as one the original jam bands\, before rising to become architects of what has become known as Jamgrass and helping to create a landscape where bands schooled in the traditional rules of bluegrass can break free of those bonds through nontraditional instrumentation and an innate ability to push songs in new psychedelic directions live.\nSalmon is a band who for more than thirty years has never stood still; they are constantly changing\, evolving\, and inspiring. If someone wanted to understand what Americana music is they could do no better than to go to a Leftover Salmon show\, where they effortlessly glide from a bluegrass number born on the front porch\, to the down-and-dirty Cajun swamps with a stop on Bourbon Street in New Orleans\, to the hallowed halls of the Ryman in Nashville\, before firing one up in the mountains of Colorado.\n“Loose interpretations of Grateful Dead songs done in a bluegrass style. Take my fascination with Grateful Dead songs and mix it together with my love of psychedelic improvisational bluegrass music and out burps this project.\nIf you like your Grateful Dead songs performed in their original way\, or if you prefer traditional bluegrass\, this is not the project for you. If you like singing along to Dead songs in that song’s normal tempo but dancing double time to the music\, this is definitely your jam. A lot of people seem to dig it and I dig them for that.”\nKeller’s Grateful Grass delivers anything-but-traditional bluegrass versions of Grateful Dead favorites. Grateful Grass often times has a rotating lineup and so far\, has included collaborations with The Keels\, Keith Moseley (SCI)\, Jeff Austin (Yonder Mountain String Band)\, Michael Kang (SCI)\, Reed Mathis (Tea Leaf Green\, Mark Benevento Trio) Bill Nershi (SCI)\, Allie Kral\, Vince Herman (Leftover Salmon)\, Sam Grisman\, Love Canon\, The Infamous Stringdusters and the Hillbenders.\nIn 2008\, the original Grateful Grass members (Keller\, Jeff Austin and Keith Moseley) recorded a live performance at The Fillmore in Denver\, CO. 100% of the proceeds from REX (Live at the Fillmore) went to benefit The Rex Foundation\, the charitable non-profit started by the Grateful Dead.\nIn 2010 Grateful Grass took the stage at Delfest for the first live appearance since 2008. In 2013\, Grateful Grass ft. Keller\, Jeff Austin\, Keith Moseley and Michael Kang reunited to benefit the Rex Foundation once again at The Fillmore in San Francisco for the event\, Nightfall of Diamonds. Once again this performance was recorded and DOS was released in 2014. All proceeds continue to benefit the Rex Foundation.\n“Different collaborations of Grateful Grass will pop up from time to time as playing this music this way is such a blast that it probably should be illegal.” — Kw

SUMMARY:Bunt
DESCRIPTION:BUNT is bringing his In The GREATER Round Tour to the Westcott Theater in Syracuse\, NY on September 11th!\nDoors 7PM | Show 8PM\nBUNT.’s story isn’t one of overnight success—it’s a testament to resilience\, dedication\, and an unshakable belief in his craft. For over a decade\, he worked in the background\, shaping his sound without major recognition.\nEight years into his journey\, everything changed. In January 2023\, his track Clouds became a global phenomenon\, proving that persistence pays off—even when the odds are stacked against you.\nHis path to success was anything but conventional. After finishing high school\, BUNT. trained at a car company and explored advertising work\, but music was always his true calling. A video shoot opportunity in the U.S. became a turning point—he left his job\, moved stateside\, and went all in.\nHe contributed productions for legendary artists like Avicii and toured alongside Gryffin. But just as things were gaining momentum\, the pandemic forced him back to Germany. With touring income gone and an uncertain future ahead\, BUNT. worked three jobs to support himself—yet even in the toughest moments\, he never stopped making music. Unknowingly\, he was crafting the foundation for what would soon be known as Stutter House.\nThen came Clouds. What started as a snippet on TikTok in December 2022 exploded into a movement. By its official release in January 2023\, the track had already amassed 50 million impressions\, debuting at #15 on the Billboard Hot Electronic Songs Chart.\nSince then\, it has garnered over 275 million streams\, cementing BUNT. as one of dance music’s most exciting new forces.\nBUNT. isn’t just redefining electronic music in the studio—he’s changing the way it’s performed. Breaking the traditional DJ mold\, he plays IN THE ROUND\, removing barriers and immersing himself fully with his audience.\nHis shows aren’t just events; they’re communal experiences—raw\, intimate\, and electric. From pop-up gigs in a car wash and a luchador arena in Mexico City to a London mash-and-pie shop and a NYC barbershop\, he’s proving that dance music doesn’t need a club to thrive—it belongs everywhere.\nSince Clouds’ release\, BUNT. has played over 200 shows across the U.S.\, Canada\, Australia\, and Europe\, selling over 50\,000 tickets along the way. In 2025\, he announced his first stadium show at Velódromo Olímpico in Mexico City\, which sold out within days—forcing an expansion in capacity due to overwhelming demand.\nHis innovative approach to both sound and performance has earned him collaborations with Ellie Goulding\, Sam Tompkins\, Elley Duhé\, and Tiësto\, while Spotify named him one of their 10 Dance Artists to Watch\, alongside Mochakk\, Uncle Waffles\, and Sammy Virji.

SUMMARY:Daniel Donato's Cosmic Country
DESCRIPTION:Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country performs LIVE at The Westcott Theater in Syracuse\, NY on September 23rd!\nDoors 7PM | Show 8PM\nTickets On-Sale Friday 6/27 @ 10AM EST\nThere are a lot of musical influences and sources that Daniel Donato has drawn on during his career and that inform his latest album\, Horizon (Retrace Music)\, his second all-original album. But within those\, Donato has carved out a unique and individualized spot for himself\, one that speaks to the deep American music heritage that inspires him — and that he’s pushing towards the future with inspired\, intentional vigor.\nHe calls it Cosmic Country\, a moniker that’s both self-descriptive and a statement of purpose. It’s an organic rock band aesthetic with plenty of roadhouse twang; a showcase for Donato’s instrumental virtuosity and facility for melodically infectious songcraft. Bridging Nashville and the Great West\, Kentucky and mid-60s northern California\, tie-dye and plaid\, it’s a world of his own\, and a wide world of musical adventure at that.\nWhile growing up in Nashville his his father\, who turned his young son on to music of all genres\, suggested the fledgling and industriously minded (even at just 14) artist start busking in Nashville’s lower Broadway area and outside concerts\, for eight hours at a time on the weekends. One night\, the two happened by Robert’s Western World where legendary honky-tonk local mainstay the Don Kelly Band were performing. Donato eventually became a member of the band\, playing four hours a night at Robert’s (464 shows in total).\nHorizons is the follow up to 2023’s Reflector\, which received critical acclaim from a wide range of press\, including No Depression\, Glide Magazine\, Magnet Magazine\, and more. Donato the subject of features in Rolling Stone\, UPROXX\, Garden & Gun and Relix. Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country made their network television debut on CBS Saturday Morning and appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’s #LateShowMeMusic online series.\nThe whole package of player\, singer\, writer and band leader was in place. Three albums in\, Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country\, featuring Nathan “Sugarlegg” Aronowitz (keyboards/guitars/vocals)\, Will “Mustang” McGee (bass/vocals) and Will “Bronco” Clark (drums\, percussion/vocals) are selling out venues throughout the country and bringing their brand of Cosmic Country to an ever growing\, passionate fanbase

SUMMARY:Nicotine Dolls
DESCRIPTION:Nicotine Dolls – an Attempt at Romanticw/s/g Wic Whitney\nNicotine Dolls will perform LIVE at The Westcott Theater on September 25th\, 2025!\nDoors @ 7PM | Show @ 8PM\nPre-Sale Starts 4/2 @ 10AM EST!\nNicotine Dolls make the kind of music you can’t hide from. The storytelling is front-and-center\, beckoning your attention like a dusty old novel you can’t put down until the last page. The vocals are gritty and honest\, holding nothing back in fits of joy\, regret\, and sadness—similar to a phone call from one of your best friends at 3 AM. The instrumentation is equally punchy and nuanced\, grafting rafter-reaching hooks on top of rich soundscapes. The moment the New York alternative quartet—Sam Cieri [vocals]\, John Hays [guitar]\, John Merritt [bass]\, and Abel Tabares [drums]—plug in\, it’s as if a rush of collective emotion floods through the speakers.\nNicotine Dolls officially emerged in 2019 at the crossroads between its members’ respective paths. As the story goes\, Sam met John Hays in 2015 during a Broadway tour.“I ended up there because I was getting evicted from my apartment\, and my friend told me to try musical theater since you get a consistent paycheck\,” he recalls. They instantly became best friends. By this time\, Sam’s journey had already twisted and turned from “leaving high school to be a musician\, living in motels\, playing Las Vegas\, going to South Florida\, and amassing all of these crazy-ass stories.” Nevertheless\, his newfound musical bond with Hays eventually attracted Merritt and Abel to the fold.\nThe guys gained traction with tracks like “What Makes You Sad”\, which has received more than 13 million Spotify streams. Their cover of Tina Turner’s iconic “The Best” has surpassed 12 million streams. Collectively\, their music to date is nearing 50 million streams on Spotify alone. Impressively\, they’ve attracted over 1.7 million followers on TikTok and nearly 900k on Instagram as well.\nNicotine Dolls have released a series of self-penned and produced singles and EPs\, including the 2024 live EP\, Nicotine Dolls on Audiotree Live. After signing with Nettwerk Music Group\, the band has been hailed by SPIN for their “vulnerability and determination\,” calling Cieri a “charismatic\, gravelly-throated powerhouse with the rasp of Bruce Springsteen and the emotion of Lewis Capaldi.”\nNicotine Dolls’ debut full-length album\, set for early 2025\, is already gaining serious attention.“This album has been my own internal attempt to be OK with wanting to love\, and be loved in return\,” Cieri explains. “I wanted to be dumb and nervous and brave and scared and everything that you drown in when someone looks at you in that way that derails the whole plan you had for your life. I live alone with my dog and I’m not saying I don’t adore that life\, because I do (my dog is my sweet big boy Indiana). But I miss laughing with someone in the kitchen or falling asleep watching trashy TV. I pride myself on my independence\, but I think I made this record as a way to admit to myself that having someone there… would be nice.”

SUMMARY:Carter Vail - The Coy Dog Tour
DESCRIPTION:Carter Vail – The Coy Dog Tour LIVE at Westcott Theater on November 7th\, 2025!\nDoors: 7PM | Show: 8PM\nArtist Pre-Sale: 8/13 @ 12PM ESTVenue Pre-Sale: 8/14 @ 12PM ESTGeneral On-Sale: 8/15 @ 12PM EST\nCarter Vail is the kind of guy who can look on the bright side no matter what. Take one listen to the infectious pop-rock he’s been making since 2018 or watch his hilarious videos on TikTok or Instagram\, and you’ll find a relentless optimist who crafts inviting tunes with humor and heart. Though the Los Angeles songwriter’s sophomore LP 100 Cowboys boasts the same tasteful and turbocharged alternative that dominates his catalog\, beneath the breezy arrangements are his most bracingly personal lyrics yet. Written following a devastating breakup\, Vail channels messy\, heartbroken feelings into nine galvanizing and cathartic songs. It’s as anthemic as it is compelling\, all delivered with palpable\, tongue-in-cheek charm.\n\n\nThe Connecticut-raised Vail released his first single “Melatonin” in 2018 as a college student at the University of Miami. His degree in music engineering led him to Nashville in 2019 where he started a recording studio with his friends. “We were not very good at it\,” says Vail. “We pretty much just ate black beans for two or three years because no one would hire us. The good thing was that gave me a lot of time to work on my own music.” While he amassed a large following on social media making comedy songs and sketch videos on TikTok and Instagram during this span\, he also put out three increasingly adventurous albums: 2020’s full-length Red Eyes along with the EPs The Interstellar Tennis Championship Pts I and II in 2020 and 2023. “With all of my music so far\, it just came out of a desire to make music rather than a specific inciting incident in my life\,” says Vail. “That all changed with 100 Cowboys.”\n\n\nIn 2023\, Vail\, now living in Los Angeles\, went through an unmooring breakup that marked the end of a six-year relationship. “Emotionally\, I just didn’t want to deal with it beyond wanting to write about it\,” says Vail. “I locked myself in my studio with my roommate and we wrote this whole record in a month.” Recorded with co-writer and co-producer Noah Tauscher\, all but one of the nine songs on 100 Cowboys was written and tracked during this month. The exception is the single “Nashville.” Originally written two years ago as a goodbye to his former home city\, he realized the melancholic lyrics like “It’s better to see you all on your own / Than know that you’re out there moving on” took on new\, prophetic meaning after the dissolution of the romance.\n\n\nDespite the raw feelings Vail was navigating while making 100 Cowboys\, it’s an ebullient\, energetic listen throughout. “My friends make fun of me because I never write truly sad songs\,” says Vail. “Even if I’m channeling a sad emotion\, the thing that’s coming out is usually an upbeat pop banger.” There’s no better example of this than the sunny opener “Arizona.” Complete with fuzzy guitar riffs that evoke Phoenix and The Strokes\, Vail sings of the spark leaving a once-thriving relationship\, “We’re gonna fall eventually / So baby don’t stop don’t stop / Do it again.” With such an earworm chorus\, it takes a keen ear to catch the sadness at the track’s core. Elsewhere\, the single “Marilyn Monroe” is the most uplifting offering. With a propulsive bass line\, Vail sings in the chorus\, “I know we’ll be alright.”\n\n\nFor Vail\, writing these songs proved to be healing. “Writing felt so cathartic\,” says Vail. “Because so many of the songs came together super quickly\, I was processing my emotions in real-time. It all just kind of came out.” Though Vail played every instrument on 100 Cowboys\, he credits his creative partnership with Tauscher—his first time working with another producer and songwriting collaborator—with taking him out of his comfort zone. “Writing with him feels super natural\,” says Vail. “We’ve been friends for eight or nine years and I live with him in Los Angeles. He’s just a really great songwriter and a great producer. After knowing each other for so long\, we’ve developed so much trust between us.” This tandem finds its most resonant peak on “Harder To Kill\,” a rocker that finds Vail channeling Springsteen in its explosive chorus. Its second verse is an emotional gut-punch with the lines\, “How’s your dog / how’s your sister / I shouldn’t care / I shouldn’t miss them.”\n\n\n100 Cowboys is a playful and perceptive pop-rock album about getting through a bad time. It takes its title from Vail’s infatuation with campy Spaghetti Westerns and a throwback to his time recording country acts at his former Nashville studio. “I like how like campy old cowboy movies are and in a lot of ways I think that’s what being a musician is like\,” says Vail. “You can be your own persona. A lot of these songs are super personal to me but dressing them up as pop and rock songs is a lot of fun. It’s how I can share this brief period of my life that was really sad.”
