Congratulations to Westcott’s own Larry Hoyt who was honored on March 2 at Dinosaur BBQ and March 3 the Palace Theater by the Central New York music community when he was inducted in to the Syracuse Area Music Awards Hall of Fame as a recipient of a SAMMY Award. For many decades Larry has played many roles in the local music scene – as singer/songwriter, writer, producer, DJ, and performer.
Larry’s always been a booster for local musicians and music, many of whom he has featured on Common Threads, his 25 year-old radio show that airs every Sunday afternoon on WAER. Larry is also an accomplished photographer who has chronicled life in the Westcott Nation for many years. Congratulations Larry – we look forward to hearing your music and your insights for years to come!
