Westcott Community Garden

When the house on this lot was destroyed in a fire, JAE Evangelisti and Peg Chestnut, owners of the house next door at 131 Harvard Place purchased the lot and donated it to the Westcott Community Development Corporation (WCDC), which since 2009 leases the site to Syracuse Grows, a community organization, for use as a garden space. Today, the lot is “farmed” by local residents who maintain small raised garden plots.
