This late Victorian house is one of the earliest on the street and its design still includes vestiges of the late 19th-century Queen Anne style. Despite its basic cubic form – the result of balloon frame construction – the roof and the surface are asymmetrical providing a lively mix of protruding dormers, nooks and bays and an assortment of window types. This dates from the the last generation of houses with round-arched windows which were more expensive to fashion (and repair). Note the mix of window panes sill extant in the house and the mix of siding materials. Though there would have been an original porch, the one we see is a more modern addition.
