This handsome transitional Colonial Revival house includes elements of the early period of the style with those popular in the 1920s. The house has a cross plan with a projecting gable roof side wing facing the driveway into which the entrance is set. A elaborate classical doorway raised a few steps welcomes one into the house. The façade gable, however, is a modest gambrel roof, similar to that found at number 438 Allen Street. The porch is supported by Tuscan Doric columns, and is only reached form within. Since there is no chimney in this wall, a large rectangular door and window combination is set in the center.
