The Old Neighborhood Part I
Stop #37
1930 East Genesee Street
- Built: Unknown
- Architect: Unknown
This impressive house was once more ornate and may have included some some decorative details similar to the Queen Anne style. The house is still notable for its corner vestigial tower and the fact the lower story is clad in yellow brick. Above would have been either shingles or clapboards, but this area is now covered with vinyl siding. The house is on an important corner and the ample main entrance and entrance porch face East Genesee Street which, at this time this house was built, was the main east-west artery into the city.
