Public Hearing on Westcott Theater
Hosted by: City of Syracuse
The Syracuse Common Council will hold a public hearing that could determine the fate of the Westcott Theater.
The head of Syracuse’s Code Enforcement department issued a 17-page report to the Common Council earlier this week making the case that the Westcott’s permit to operate as an entertainment venue should be revoked.
Jake Dishaw, deputy commissioner of Code Enforcement and Zoning Administration, said a recent investigation revealed the Westcott had violated its original Special Use Permit from when the venue opened in 2008.
The public is invited to attend.
