This front gable house appears large since it has an added one story addition on the south and an ample porch with Ionic columns that spans then entire house width. The house also sits on a wide lot. There is none of the cramped “urban” look now found on much of the street. This house’s siting reminds us of how the street must have looked when it first open and all the new houses had room to breath.
The houses faces west but also takes advantage of south light – there are large dormers set into the roof on the south side. this house originally was for a single family but today is divided into mostly studio apartments.
