Evicted: Read the Book, Join the Conversation

Petit Branch Library and Soule Branch Library are hosting a book discussion on Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City by Matthew Desmond, led by Sally Santangelo, Executive Director of CNY Fair Housing. Evicted makes readers aware of the epidemic of evictions surrounding the 2008 economic crisis by focusing on eight families in the Milwaukee area. This book was chosen by Mayor Ben Walsh as a city-wide selection for reading and discussion. Author Matthew Desmond will be speaking in Syracuse on Tuesday, October 23, at 7:00 p.m., at Henninger H.S.
