“The Tree of Liberty.” Central N.Y. was a hotbed of the Abolition movement, and many of its participants are here in Oakwood. We are hoping Mrs. Amos P. Granger (aka Sue Greenhagen) will be available to tell these stories.
These tours are presented by HOCPA board members and made possible thanks to the support of Oakwood Management. Please use the Oakwood Main Entrance on Comstock across from the Islamic Society of CNY. Look for the tour signs and follow the arrows to the parking and tour meeting place. All tours begin at 2 pm.
Allow two hours for the tour. Please wear comfortable shoes. All tours are free, but donations are accepted. We tour, rain or shine, but not during thunder and lightning. Oakwood souvenirs will be available for purchase at the tours.
